The Atlético de Madrid Day Camp for players and goalkeepers focuses on players developing their full technical, tactical and physical potential no matter their skill level.

Players will enhance their strengths and will be stimulated to understand their own weaknesses while having so much fun.

Group Level System

Players will be evaluated in order to group them based on skill level: Recreational, Competitive and Academy.

Game System

Recreational, competitive and academy will play with their corresponding levels only.

Advanced Experience Opportunity

Experienced soccer players will also practice advanced strategies with different game modules aimed towards their full potential.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to bring during camp?

Players must bring:

  • Soccer cleats
  • Individual lunch & lunch box
  • Individual water bottle
  • Sunscreen
  • Atlético de Madrid training Kit (Mandatory)

It is also highly recommended that players bring shin guards, a healthy snack, and electrolyte drinks.

Where is the BUSA/ Alabama FC Day camp located?

The Day Camp will take place at the Rathmell Sports Park, 3577 East St, Birmingham, AL 35243. Fantastic soccer complex, all GRASS fields.

Is there an Official Camp Kit?

Each player will receive a code after registration to order the Official Camp Atlético de Madrid Kit, which includes one shirt, one pair of shorts and one pair of socks. Size selection will be available upon ordering for delivery to each player before camp starts.

What is the schedule during the camp?

Please see above Daily Schedule. Please arrive at the field on Monday no later than 810AM for player check-in. Following days 825AM will be enough time for arrival and readiness. Pick up time is always 430PM.

What payment methods are accepted?

Our online payment system accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

Are parents allowed to watch the training?

Parents/ Guardians are welcome to see the training sessions or if they prefer, they can drop their players off and come back at pick up time. We ask, however, that you stay in a specific area to not interrupt the dynamic of the training. 

Is this an Official Atlético de Madrid soccer camp?

Yes, we are the Official Atlético de Madrid Day Camp. This opportunity is provided by La Liga Futbol Camps, Inc who is the Official Partner of Atlético de Madrid in the state of Alabama. This event is hosted by BUSA & Alabama FC. “

What is the camp format?

This is a Day Camp that includs 5 days of training with Official Atlético de Madrid Coaches. Players will learn the successful methodology from Official Atlético Coaches.

There will be frequent water breaks, which occur between micro – sessions to ensure campers stay hydrated.

Players will receive an Atlético de Madrid Soccer Camp certified Diploma recognizing the completion of the Day Camp.

Who are the coaches?

Official Coaches from Atlético de Madrid will come exclusively to conduct the training sessions in Birmingham, AL. All the coaches are licensed by UEFA.

What is the insurance policy?

All campers must have their own medical coverage. Atlético de Madrid Soccer Camp provides only excess coverage (does not cover deductibles) after your insurance policy has been utilized. Parents are responsible for all costs of medical attention and treatment, except for that covered by the camp’s excess medical coverage policy.

What is the Cancellation & Refund Policy?

If you choose to cancel your reservation, there will be no refunds for the amount paid or equipment shipped to participant.

Camps are subject to change or cancellation without notice at any time for any reason, including if the number of participants registered is insufficient to host the camp. Upon cancellation of camp by our staff, full refunds are issued within 30 days of cancellation or participants can choose to attend any of the other camps based on availability. If the Camp is cancelled, our liability is limited to a full refund of the price, and we will not be liable for any other costs, damages, or refunds of any kind for any loss, delay, inconvenience, disappointment, travel or other expense whatsoever in such circumstances. No refunds will be given if a program in progress must be interrupted or cancelled for reasons beyond our control.

Force Majeure and Acts of God; In the event International Soccer Development Group is unable to perform its obligations under the terms of this agreement due to circumstances beyond its control like terrorism, a pandemic, war, labor strikes, adverse weather conditions, etc., La Liga Futbol Camps, Inc will not be liable to provide any refund for services not delivered due to such circumstances.

How are the groups divided?

Groups will be divided by age and skill level. In the first day of the camp players will be separated into their age groups. The Atlético de Madrid Coaches will then conduct a skill level test to finalize the groups. Players can be moved from one group to another during the camp.

What to do in case of hazardous weather?

Camp schedule remains 8:30AM to 4:30PM. In case of hazardous weather, we will launch our protocol in place. We will take shelter to ensure players safety and develop alternative soccer learning activities (soccer tactical videos, Soccer Q & A challenges, positional demos, etc) until the weather clears out. Please do not pick up your players early unless pre-scheduled. Our weather policy will align to the one of our hosting club and the City of Mountain Brook, AL.
